When I was a little girl, I can remember going to my brother's soccer games and always using my mom's camera to take pictures of him. By the time I was a teenager, my mom's friend who was a photographer at the time, needed an assistant. Knowing me, I wasn't going to say no to some quick cash! However, I never realized what was in store for me.

Once I got my first camera, I realized how much I loved taking photos of people together, smiling, and having a good time. I realized the value in saving those memories and knew I wanted to keep up with it. I began taking pictures for friends, and started getting inquiries across my city. 
 

After years and years of photography, I reached a point where I was more successful than I have ever been with my photography. Not only was I financially successful, but I had built a community around me of families and friends who loved what I loved. In January of 2020, I created a single-employee business: Emma Carol Photography, LLC. But without that community, I wouldn't be here today.
